Kids and Cold Medicine

I recommend to clients that they go through their first aid kits and medicine cabinets at least annually to get rid of expired products. I posted about dumping expired medication on September 20.

Since then, there has been a lot of concern about giving small children cold medicine and some stores have taken the products off their shelves. If you have infant cold medicine in your home, you may be able to return it, even without a receipt, for cash or store credit. See the Washington Post article for a list of products:
