Have you thought about creating a life list? Different from a “to-do” list, creating a life list helps you figure out the things that are most meaningful to you by writing down the things you want to accomplish in your life.
Simply writing things down isn’t going to make them happen; however, seeing your true heart’s desires on paper may prompt you to actually making them come true. View your list monthly and see what you can do to further your desires. If you are going to achieve your goals, you need to break them into steps and schedule them for completion. You can update your list annually, crossing off the things that no longer appeal to you and adding new ones.
You can get started by going to one of the websites where people post their life lists, like 43things.com, your100things.com or 2dobeforeIdie.com. You may be inspired by other people’s posts, which range from finishing high school to growing an organic garden. Not surprisingly, getting organized appears on many people’s lists.
