Making Change

It’s Blog Action Day and bloggers all over the world today are writing about climate change. I could use this space to recommend products that have a “smaller carbon footprint,” but I think it is more important to remind everyone that not buying and using less has a huge impact on the planet.

Remember: the first part of Reduce/Reuse/Recycle is reduce. The less you bring into your space, the fewer resources you use. You might feel good about buying organic or recycled products, but you are not contributing to a better environment by buying things that need processing. Think about whether you really need to buy them or if there is something else that you already have that you could use instead.

By using less and reducing the amount of packaging you throw away, you can change the world for the better.
