October is National Self-Improvement Month. Now is a good time to pick one thing you’ve been wanting to do and start working on it.
We can do whatever we wish to do provided our wish is strong enough. What do you want most to do? That's what I have to keep asking myself, in the face of difficulties. - Katherine Mansfield
Whether you are facing challenges at home, at work, financially or emotionally, decide what you really want and write it down (or type it) so that you can look at it regularly. That’s the first step to getting it.
The next step is deciding what you are going to do to create the change. Again,
write (or type) what it will take: Are you going to enroll in a class? Ask
someone for help? Try a different way to do something?
Be specific and
map out the steps to reach your goal. Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect –
draw all over a piece of paper, scratch out and rewrite, if you need to. Just
commit to something.
What do you
really want? Could you work on achieving it over the next 30 days?
Organized by Marcie TM: Save time and money by letting go of what you don't need and
finding room for what you value
